SEXYFIRE, a Belgian of Pakistani origin, born in Charleroi in 1976; co-founder of The KMG’s. At 15 years old, he taught himself the guitar and jazz, before studying at the Jazz Studio in Antwerp and the Conservatory in Brussels. In addition to guitar, he enjoys the tabla, harmonium, harmonica, piano and singing. The group’s singer and guitarist.
Mr. SCOTCH, a Belgian of Polish origin, born in 1982 in Brussels, he is the group’s other founder. His parents are both musicians. An eclectic and generous artist, he began with classical violin before tackling piano and jazz. He attended the Conservatory in Brussels where he crossed the path of great artists. He likes to touch on electro, rock, jazz and funk.
Mr. FRENCH KISS, French, born in 1977, trumpeter for the famous Whippersnappers, the group’s brass section. He is passionate about jazz, playing it with both big bands and small groups. In the United States, he studied with saxophonist Chip McNeil. He also appreciates electro jazz and funk, and he completely lights up in The KMG’s.
Mr. BIG BOSS, a Belgian of Vietnamese origin, born in 1980 in Liege. His musical beginnings were in classical clarinet at the Conservatory in Verviers, before moving into jazz and the saxophone. Currently, he also plays the flute. He plays with different jazz, funk, afro, house and pop groups.
Mr. CREAM, Belgian, born in 1985 in Libramont, he is the drummer of the “Groove Boys”, The KMG’s rhythm section. He started with classical percussion at an academy at the age of 8, and then devoted himself exclusively to drums. He attended the Conservatory in Luxembourg for two years and then settled in Brussels where he plays with several groups (jazz, funk, rock, experimental, world music, etc.).
LADY SOULFLOWER, Belgian, born in 1980 in La Louvière, she is proud of her Ukrainian blood and will be the group’s backing singer. Her father is a musician. She entered the Conservatory in Brussels in the jazz-soul section in 2000. She tours abroad with various jazz and soul projects. She is currently recording her first trio album.
